Why not take advantage of the delay today.?!? :)

Hi FSK Families,

  • Wednesday, March 6th is a half-day and dress down day!  We dismiss at 11:55am.
  • Please note that Half-days have been put in the schedule for the 19-20 SY and are currently still on Wednesdays to start each month.  I will send out the dates and the full 19-20 calendar as soon as it is official.
  • The PTO/Budget Review Meeting will take place at 6:30pm on Wednesday, March 6th…hopefully no more snow impact.
  • We will be migrating from Classroom Parent to Bloomz in the coming weeks!  You can down-load the app and check out some online videos in advance of the launch!
  • Have you signed up for the Baltimore Marathon Race Yet?
  • The Window installation is going strong!  We will be shifting to more classrooms next week with an impact on the 2nd floor.
  • I am meeting with over 15 teacher candidates for 1:1 meetings over the next two weeks.  If you know of any awesome candidates, please have them reach out to me ASAP.
  • 3rd Q Progress Reports should be given to students by Friday, March 8th.
  • Looking forward to Pasta Palooza on Friday, March 8th!
  • Saturday, March 9th will be feature two events for FSK students: The National History Day City Competition and Destination Imagination.
  • Please check out a Workshop opportunity for tomorrow, March 2nd (I just received information)

CHARM: Voices of Baltimore Youth

Whitney Birenbaum, Executive Director of CHARM: Voices of Baltimore Youth (whitney@charmlitmag.org) would like to share information about CHARM's next Young Writers Workshop. It's featuring YA author Leah Henderson. Participants will get a copy of Leah's book ONE SHADOW ON THE WALL, and get a chance to develop their own writing.

The workshop is on Saturday, March 2nd (9am-noon), geared towards 4th-8th graders. It's at Mount Royal Elementary Middle -- here is a link to sign up, and flyer is attached.
